Process - Duration

How long does it take to restore a hardwood floor? Some people will mislead you in telling you that the floors can be restored a matter of hours. Needless to say, plan at least a week to have the work done right. We recommend that long because each layer of polyurethane applied required at least 24 hours to dry, sometimes longer depending on the weather, specifically during the rainy summer months.

How about fumes/odors?

The process does require good ventilation. We only use high quality polyurethane and it does emit strong odors while the paint is drying. If possible, we recommend leaving the windows open or slightly cracked to allow fresh air to circulate the room. If possible, close the door to the room. If you are doing a large area such as a living room, perhaps staying out of the house for a day or two is beneficial. To learn more about it visit the wikipedia site.
